Fees for therapy

We offer both Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Psychotherapy (using an integration of psychoanalytic therapy, existential therapy, and CBT therapy) to help you or your child achieve better wellbeing.

We mainly offer sessions virtually, i.e. via zoom or google meet, which works really well. Read more about this below.

Read below to see what we offer and the fees for therapy and other services. Please get in touch to discuss more.

Child (under 18) assessment and treatment sessions

50 minute appointment using CBT or other psychotherapies to manage your child’s mental health difficulties.

£125

Please note, rates for children are higher due to the additional time spent outside of sessions. This includes liaising with parents, schools and other professionals (with your consent).

Treatment for both adults and children tends to last between 8 and 20 sessions, as research show this provides long lasting change for clients. It is therefore recommended by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE), which guides UK health services in what treatments to offer. The average number of sessions our clients tend to need is 10-15.

Block bookings

We also offer reduced rates for direct block bookings of treatment sessions: 10% off when booking 6 sessions as a block to be paid upfront. There will not be a time limit or end date for you to use your sessions. You also do not have to use all your sessions in go. For instance, you might like to spread out the last few sessions over a few months to consolidate your learning.

We would not advise you to block book treatment sessions until after you have had an assessment, to ensure that you are happy with your therapist and the service, as we do not provide refunds on block bookings. This is so that you and the therapist are sure that a course of therapy could be helpful.

Reduced rates

Some of our therapists are currently offering reduced rates on their slots to help clients affected by the recession and cost of living crisis: Hazel Morgan, one of our Psychotherapists, is offering a £15 reduction per session, i.e. £85 for an adult session and £110 for children.

Please do enquire about this when completing our enquiry form.

Remote sessions

We opened our clinic during the pandemic, and as such, we only offered support via video call or telephone. We have continued to offer video call and telephone treatment, as it has been so effective.

Our staff have been able to see more clients as there is less travel time, and we have taken on staff who live in various geographical locations. This means we can cherry pick the best therapists for the team, regardless of where they live. Our clients have also told us they love the flexibility around work, school and other commitments.

There is also loads of evidence emerging about how remote therapy is just as effective as face to face therapy. This is an up and coming area of therapy research. The benefits include: no travel time, flexibility around your commitments, a sense of anonymity and reduced risk of catching Covid-19 or any other illness.

The only exception to this is that we have partnered with Wellington College, to offer on-site CBT to some of their students.

How to pay

For assessments, you’ll be asked to pay online at the time of booking your session, via the online booking tool, using a credit or debit card.

For treatment sessions, we will send you an invoice to be paid via debit/credit card or BACs within 1 week. If you want to prepay for a block of 6 treatment sessions, you will receive a 10% discount, also payable via debit/credit card or BACs.

If you are coming via an insurance provider such as WPA or Cigna, we will invoice them directly for your sessions.

Insurers we work with

All of our therapists are registered with WPA and Cigna. Anjali and Sarah, our child CBT Therapists, are also registered with Aviva.

Please note, we do not work with Bupa, AXA or Vitality due to their low pay rates to therapists.

We are always open to working with other insurance providers too, provided they pay fair rates to therapists. Please let us know when you contact us, if you are with a certain provider and we can see what they can offer for you. We have also been know to sign up with some providers at your request to enable us to see you via your insurance. Therefore please do enquire if it you’re with someone that we’re not currently signed up with, and we’ll see what we can do!

Cancellations

Please contact us as soon as possible if you have to cancel or change an appointment.

We will not charge you for cancelling appointments, unless you provide us with less than 1 full working day’s notice (excluding weekends and bank holidays). This will then mean we will still bill you for the full rate (or the session will come out of one of the pre-paid block of sessions). Whilst we really dislike doing this, we are often unable to offer an appointment to anyone else with such short notice, and the hour goes unfilled.

To reduce the chance of this happening, we will send an email reminder to you 72 hours before the session, so you can contact us as soon as possible if you do need to cancel or move the session.

CBT supervision

If you are a CBT Therapist and interested in being supervised by one of us, please do get in touch via email re: availability and fees. We currently have some spaces for supervision.

Other non-therapy fees

Please email us directly about our fees for lecturing, training events, and consultancy to other professionals. If you’re interested in career mentoring, please check out our page here.
