The three step process to start CBT
Our process at Brighter Life Therapy is very simple:
- Use the general enquiries form below to request a self-referral form (to be completed by the client, or the parent if the client is under age 18).
- If we are right for you, we’ll book you into an assessment session in the next few weeks.
- Usually, our clients will also benefit from further treatment sessions to work on the problems they identified in their assessment, which can range from anything between 5 and 20 sessions depending on the problem. Research shows that this number of sessions can provide long lasting change for clients and is recommended by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) which guides UK health services in what treatments to offer.
If you have health insurance, please let us know on the self-referral form and we can confirm if this is one of the insurers we work with. We are currently working with WPA, Cigna and Aviva.
We try extremely hard to keep a low waiting list (or ideally none at all) to ensure fast access to the support you need. If, however, there is a little wait of a couple of weeks, we will provide you with plenty of relevant resources to support you during that time.
