You’re now on to module 2 which will help you to understand how and why your low self-esteem is still low, and hasn’t just magically bounced back (if only, right?). In CBT, we call this the model. It shows how a vicious cycle is formed and keeps going round. Once we understand this, we can learn how to break the cycle.
As part of this, you’ll understand how the core beliefs and rules for living have a large impact on the model, and how anxiety and low mood feature heavily too.
We’ll break it all down to make sense, then build it all back up again into one uniform model. You’ll have a chance to then download a worksheet to make sense of your own model of low self-esteem.
